General News
|
For your information: - Annual Subscriptions have been emailed out. Those without emails will have their subscription invoice delivered.
- New carpet is being put down in the Clubhouse this week
- A reminder that for safety reasons drivers are not to be used in the practise area when members are playing on the course. To avoid player injury the ladies tee on the par three 6th hole needs to be a safe zone so for the long hitters with irons please ensure you aim well away from this zone. Buckets of practise balls are available from the Pro Shop between the hours of 9am and 5pm.
- Please make the effort to take sand with you and use it when divots are created. It is disappointing to note the number of divots on the course that are left un repaired. It is appreciated when you repair any divots you find when playing on the course. If we all make the effort we will maintain our course in great order.
- Twilight Golf is underway. Tee off at 5pm on Thursday nights. Food and beverages available in the Clubhouse after play. It is not too late to get your team together. Teams of 3-6 players. Ambrose play so great for players of all abilities. Contact Russell Crossan for any queries.
- Play 6 Get a Fix has started on Monday nights at 5.15pm. This is open for women and men. This is a great way to be introduced to golf and have some fun and good company at the same time. - Spread the word!
- FREYBERG TOURNAMENT - Monday 4-Friday 8 November at our course. Brian Leonard or Susan Brown would love to hear from you if you are prepared to help over this time. Spotters and scoreboard are just two jobs needing volunteers.
- Morna Hogan and Susan Brown played for Aorangi v Canterbury Country team in Ashburton with Aorangi recording another win.
- The ladies trophies are needing to be returned ASAP to the ladies office or to Lois King.
