The Week Ahead
Christmas & the re-visiting of decades old arguments/grievances, before making up and agreeing to go through the whole process again next year at Uncle Bob's place

On the golfing front, stableford rounds on Weds & Sat for the next two weeks (as per the Club Captain report)

...and finally
We are oh so nearly there, we have nearly made it to the end of 2020, which frankly, has been a bit shit (we Brits are known for our understatement)

I did notice the story this week about the world's largest iceberg, named imaginatively "A68a" (it should have been called :"Iceberg Mc-Icy-bergy-face") which covers an amazing 3,800 square kilometres and has 30 metre cliff faces at it's edge.

Now I am continuously learning about Kiwi geography, so I looked this up and this iceberg is the equivalent of half a 'Taranaki", presumably the half without the bloody great volcano sticking out of it.

In reality this is a natural event that has the potential to cause critical damage to the environment of the island of South Georgia which it is about to hit, however, it occurs to me that nobody has asked the critical question.

This effectively, is the world's largest ice-cube. So where is the gin and tonic?

Frankly, with Christmas almost upon us, I for one am going to need it

Happy holidays to you all, and here's to 2021

Stay afe & play well

Steve
