The most recent advice from Moore Golf that they will only open the pro shop Wednesday to Sunday is disappointing.

I phoned Willie Moore this morning to discuss the decision. It is purely a financial call.

The rest of the Moore Golf business in Timaru is satisfactory. In the meantime, we will have to work around the inconvenience of the shop being closed on Monday and Tuesday.

I want to thank all the helpers who came to the course to assist in the coring program. From my limited experience it was one of the most successful outcomes we have had at Timaru Golf. Already the greens are playing very well. Excellent result

This morning 22 people came and helped pick up the tree trimmings beside fairways 2 and 3. It was a great effort and in 2 hours we nearly “knocked the bastard off”

This coming Tuesday the Green Team are going to resow sections of various fairways where grass grub has killed the grass. They require about 4 additional helpers. If you are available, please turn up at 9 am
