Men's Club Captain
Hi all, just an update on a few things going on...

Pennants - Well done to Pat Collins and his Penny Salver team that had a win at Grand Vue against Ashburton on Monday.  Our Holmes/Hayes, Redpath and Alexander teams all start on the 3rd of April.   Good luck to all teams this year.

Sponsored Hole - Thanks to the team at Park Night 'n Day we have a new prize every Saturday.  There will be an extra Nearest to the Pin on Hole 15 for both Senior and Junior grades.  Both winners will receive a Titleist ProV1.

The Jackpot Hole should be over $100 this Saturday so come and try to get a piece of it.  Competition is the 3rd Speight's Alehouse Shootout Qualifier.    The following Saturday (April 2nd) is the 3rd Club Champs Qualifying & Strokeplay.

Timaru 9 hole tournament  12 May

We had a short discussion about prizes and raffles.  Everyone seemed to be in favour of wine and/or golf items being brought by members for prizes and/or Mitre 10/petrol/grocery vouchers

For the main prizes everyone thought that vouchers - not meatpacks - are far more appropriate and appreciated.  If anyone can help in this regard we still have at least 6 weeks to gather these.

Upcoming events

Unfortunately you will have to play on the front 9 again this week.  It will usually alternate  - However it's been a bit messy with the Thursday tournaments

Remember when we play the LGU competition you will be playing according to your handicap.  We have reduced the number of LGU games for this competition from 10 to 8.

March 24th     1 -  9      2nd TLGC Trophy/Honda Trophy & 2nd LGU/2nd/Sue  Bunt

March 31st    10 – 18         Joan Burtenshaw Trophy  2nd Stableford
