Meet Our Sponsors
This week I spent a few minutes with Steve Doyle to learn a bit more about him and his business. Many of you may know Steve. He has been a member of the Timaru Golf club for over 30 years, including a stint as secretary some years back. Steve is a Certified Financial Planner with Lifetime Group. They, along with Rothbury Insurance Brokers, have been keen supporters of the club for many years. Ian: Steve, tell me a bit more about Lifetime Group and Rothbury Insurance Brokers? Lifetime. It’s a little word with a pretty big meaning. It’s a single place for financial advice covering all the ‘must haves’, the ‘would likes’ and the ’what if’s’. Locally Lifetime has 5 financial advisers, including Emily Wheatley (a recent new member to the golf club) and 2 support staff. Rothbury Insurance Brokers are a separate entity to Lifetime. Lifetime have previously helped the golf club with their general insurance needs for over 10 years. Now, through Rothbury, this relationship has continued. As a group Rothbury are one of the larger insurance brokers in the country. You may have noticed their recent TV ads? Locally we share the same office just above Ballantynes. Mark Staniford is their local broker. I would be more than happy to introduce anyone to him who needs a 2nd opinion on either their business or personal insurance. Ian: So what do you and Lifetime actually do? We get that money means different things to different people. But we all agree that it’s better to have it, than not. Our services start with a chat, and end with an action plan, using our insights and our know-how to help you kick some real goals. Also you can build a better life on the journey ahead. For a lifetime. I personally help clients with investment and retirement planning but also manage relationships when clients require other services such as loans or personal insurance. We have a wide network of professionals to call on for more complex issues, knowing that if things go wrong, what you care about is protected. Ian: Steve tell me why you do it… In today’s world of information, everything is at your fingertips. It can seem easy to find out what you think you need to know about insurance or financial planning. The hardest part is knowing if you’re making the right decisions. At Lifetime, we will answer the questions you didn’t know you had to ask. We are absolutely focussed on achieving the very best outcome for our clients. All our advisers have a special skill - listening. We won’t tell you what we think is the right approach to planning your financial goals – instead, we will take the time to build a trusted relationship with you and learn about what’s important to you. If you would like to know more drop Steve an email steve.doyle@lifetime.co.nz or call on 027 2063815. A disclosure statement is available on request and is free of charge. Their website is also worth a visit www.lifetime.co.nz |

Fundraiser
Fundraiser We are looking at doing a fundraiser similar to what we did several years ago (houses/kitchen/some aspect of a house) plus stalls so we would like you all to come onboard and support it. At present we are looking at around either the last weekend of March or first weekend of April so firstly keep those Sundays free. Last time we had several golfers houses which was fantastic and this won’t work unless we have houses. New, renovated, inner city living, country or just a charming home - a variety is essential as we are all different. If you have any ideas or homes you think would be suitable please contact one of the committee. Cath Preen, Kathy Williams, Verna Parker, Rachel Ellis, Rosie Carruthers, Carol Rodden, Lynne Stark, Wendy Smith.
