Following the preliminary results of the recent referenda, a quick reminder that toking on the golf course is (still) not permitted, and for pity's sake, please stop anyone you see trying to smoke the grass, it is just embarrassing for all involved. The greenkeepers have also requested that anyone looking to take advantage of the new euthanasia regulations, please do so away from the course (apparently it makes a mess, and composting the corpses takes too long - I am not sure how they know this, I was too scared to ask) It's good to see the ladies are keeping up with their usual courageous, no-holds-barred, approach to golf. I particular like the forethought demonstrated by Cath, who has put out an appeal for "newbies" - I can only assume that they are to replace the members we lose to the "Russian Roulette" competition on Tuesday (I suspect the Greenkeepers are going to get upset). Finally, I have confirmed with, Harvey that Richard Cole's Golf Cart does NOT come with his patented "Remember to Hit Your Golf Ball Reminder Alarm System". It was removed with a large hammer after it failed on the 3rd tee and his group spent five minutes looking for his ball which turned out to be still in his pocket Rest in peace, Richard, you are missed by us all.
