WHOOP WHOOP

Cleaning

Aren't we lucky we clean at home and have the privilege of cleaning at the golf club but guess what we are now only responsible for the ladies changing room and wash area as Ian and Kerrie have offered to do the main room.

The list has you in pairs and one person is responsible to vacuum, dust and rubbish bins and the second person is responsible for the washbasins, toilets replacing the towel and toilet paper as required. Your contribution to cleaning is valued as it saves a huge cleaning bill to the club. If you cant do it find a replacement. List is about to go up but week January 27 will see our sadies Kathy Williams "House"plus Miriam Burnside, the cleaning ladies set the standard for the year. Enjoy.

Summer golf is about at an end. The Barbara Angus Stableford Trophy has been going throughout summer ably run by Noeline Strachan, thank you. (Best three Stableford Rounds of six ).

Sixes start this Monday. The challenge is - Bring a friend.

Cheers Cath

Fundraising

Fundraising

There are currently two fundraising initiatives.

The first is a $2/ticket raffle and these are being given to all members to sell.

There are 9 great prizes.

1st Accommodation including Dinner, Bed & Breakfast for two at the Cromwell Hotel

2nd Accommodation for two nights at a Tekapo house which includes the use of a swimming pool & spa

3rd $100 of Petrol vouchers

4th $100 Meal Voucher from the Oxford, Timaru

5th $100 Voucher from Cobblers Inn Shoe Store

6th $50 Meal voucher from Speights Ale House

7th $50 Meal voucher from Speights Ale House

8th Hamper to the value of $50

9th Hamper to the value of $50

We are asking that every club member sells or buys a booklet of raffle tickets ($20 total) – or more than one of course! At just $2 per ticket these should be extremely easy to sell.

Tickets will be distributed to all Club members very soon.

The second is a house and garden walk.

Each house visited will have an aspect to view – maybe a kitchen or garden for instance. We are after a couple of further houses before the list is finalised so if you are prepared to share then please contact Cath Preen 021 220 6121
