OPENING DAY SYSTEM FOR BOTH 9 HOLERS & 18 HOLERS Canadian Foursomes. The following is the system for opening days. 18 holers are welcome for the 9 holers opening and likewise 9 holers are welcome for the 18 holers. We will be operating out of the pro shop. Names ( surname and initial ) entered at the pro shop by 9.20am, ($5.00 as per usual if at opening on a Tuesday and $2.50 if at opening on the Thursday ) If you bring a visitor enter her name and yours together. $5.00 for your visitor but that is up to you how and who pays though it would be thoughtful to shout her. After registering have a casual chip or putt on the practice green, a chat ,shop or whatever takes your fancy while we are pre printing the cards. Between 9.20-9-30 the cards will be preprinted. Draw done 9.30 Completion of the round, manually enter your card with your opponents and put your card in the slot. Bear with us if we have glitches and be patient. Cath Preen 30 January 9 HOLE OPENING DAY Please bring a raffle for the table and a plate for shared lunch. Bring a visitor. Have emailed to Highfield, Gleniti and Pleasant Point. Pleasant Point have invited Timaru 9 Holers for their Opening Day on 7 February 2020. Cheers Sharon Smith 18 Holers This week is the last round of the Barbara Angus Trophy ( Best three rounds of Stableford) Great to have Harriet as a visitor last week, the more the merrier. Don't forget to ask a visitor for opening day for the following week. A shared lunch this week in which we will bring you up to date with what is happening plus have a meeting to discuss our tournament coming up-Thursday 27 February so please keep it free so you can part take. Opening day for the 9 holers is Thursday 30 January. They would love as many players to join them in their opening day Canadian Foursome. Sixes Great to see you all back after a break rearing to go. It's also fabulous to see many of you have come out and played over the Xmas break. Keep it up. See you on Monday anytime after 5p.m.

NZ Open Regional Qualifying
|
The road to the New Zealand Open gets underway early next week with amateurs around the country vying for their spot in the country’s national open championship. The New Zealand Open Regional Qualifying Series begins on Monday with 135 aspiring players competing for spots in the final qualifier across four iconic New Zealand venues. Paraparaumu Beach, Otago, and Christchurch Golf Clubs play host to their qualifying event on Monday with Titirangi Golf Club hosting their qualifier on Tuesday following the Auckland Anniversary public holiday. A total of 25 spots will be up for grabs across the four venues based on numbers. They’ll travel to Cromwell Golf Club for Monday Qualifying where three spots will be available for the amateurs that progress through the first stage, and professionals that get straight through to the final stage of qualifying. Zonta Tournament

The annual Zonta Tournament was held at the Timaru Golf Club on Sunday 26 January. A full field competed in beautiful sunshine on our well prepared course. Congratulations to the organisers on a very well run tournament. Thanks to generous support from sponsors all teams enjoyed a great prize along with a wonderful afternoon tea at the conclusion of play. The tournament will be held next year on Sunday 31 January so put it in your diary now! |
