Good Afternoon Members

The current environment we are all in is unprecedented and has been very fast moving. The Timaru Golf Club has to be seen as a responsible organisation and do our part in trying to control the spread of the Covid – 19 virus.

The Committee agreed that we will be following the guidelines as set out by the New Zealand Government and recommended by New Zealand Golf.

Effective immediately the Timaru Golf Club Levels course is closed for all play including the practise area. This includes all club competitions and any casual golf. Our clubhouse and Pro Shop are closed.

I would ask that this decision be respected and members do not come out and use the course. The reason given by NZG is that it will be impossible to monitor and therefore provide a safe environment for golfers to allow casual golf.

Course maintenance will be carried out as before at this stage but this may yet change.

Please take care of each other and stay safe. We are all looking forward to getting through this and being able to get back on the course.
