Orbell Cup Success
The Orbell Cup is a special competition with a long history.
Each year The Christchurch Golf Club and our Timaru Golf Club battle for the Orbell Cup and the Centennial Tray.
This year our Timaru Club playing at home proved simply too strong winning both trophies.

Women's Golf

Hi All

A busy golf week. A fabulous Irish Stableford day on Thursday raising nearly $2,000 after expenses .96 players represented from the Aorangi district plus Wanaka , Taipu, Oamarama and unfortunately teams waitlisted as well.

A great day filled with Irish music ,songs and good golf. The clubhouse looked stunning. Huge thanks to all those who helped in its success. You all were a brilliant team , many hands make light work and it was lovely to see you all enter in the spirit of things. Thank you.

Orbell Cup & Centennial Salver The course was just a picture, company jovial and obviously everyone did their bit and we won both the trophies. Whoop whoop. Good to see the young ones taking part both women and men.

Aorangi 9 Hole Tournament Di Surridge had a very good day and was joint trophy winner Best Nett in the 0-19 grade at Geraldine. Net score of 36.

Sadies ( Cleaning) Nicola Hayman/ Rachel Ellis

Championships Sixes Anna Pavletich took a strong lead and was 4 up but Nic Curr pegged her back and eventually Anna won 1 up. Congratulations to our sixes Champ. Both players putted very well.

Plate Sixes Raggie Rennie had a win over Jenny Davies. A tight tuzzle. So good to see you guys out playing well done. Congratulations to our plate winner.

Keep those championship matches going as we will start the plates next week.

Meant to rain on this Tuesday seems impossible but we will see.
