Simon Ritchie arrangement with the club finishes at the end of March

We have been canvassing the options that are available to the club for the provision of catering services and the operation of the bar.

Fred has been taking the lead role with this task as Chair of House. I have been assisting Fred in coming to the decisions as outlined below

Catering

We have decided to appoint Lara Wood who runs ABC Catering to provide catering to the club

Lara runs a “food truck” during the day on Fraser St

She provided catering to the club last Wednesday, which was very well received by members. She offers a good variety of food options at reasonable prices. Please support her . We need to provide food options as a condition of our liquor licence

Bar Management

The task to find a replacement for Simon Ritchie is more challenging.

We have decided to run the bar in house. We have 4 members with the required Liquor Licence Controller qualification. Initially using a roster system, we believe we can manage the bar in house, but we will need more members to assist

We would like some more members to come forward and obtain their LCQ. The club will fund the cost of this. It can be obtained on line or by a 1.5 day course at ARA

The LCQ members, may also seek additional support at busy times from some members who are suitably trained to operate the bar

If you find a new person behind the bar please be patient as they learn the “ropes”
